Hi there,

I did the NYC marathon via the 9+1 program for 2010, 2011 and 2015.  I moved out of NYC to Austin Texas but wanted to plan to get into the 2020 NYC marathon.  My husband, Scott Cohen is a streaker (21 years) so he can get in any year.  I know it’s a big year for the club and its also the year I turn 40.  I miss running in Central Park, my NY Flyers club and the last time I did the NYC marathon I gave the medal to my dad.  I tried last year to get in via the lottery and am still waiting for this year, but I didn’t want to rely on that and I know there is a charity option, however I wanted to try something that no one else has done.  I don’t know however if it has been done.  On a personal note, My father passed away this past year right before a family wedding after the day after I had flown in from Austin.  To say I am devastated is an understatement.  He was cheering me on in the VIP seats during my last NYC marathon.  My dad is my motivation and I decided to make a somewhat ridiculous or crazy plan to get in to the 2020 marathon by doing 9+1.  I know I live 1700 miles away, but that is what this means.  I just finished the 10K last weekend and have a semi working schedule planned out.  My question is as follows: Are you able to look up in your records if anyone that has been in the 9+1 program has lived this far away (Austin Texas).  I know some of my former club mates came in from Jersey or Philly or CT. I may not be the first or only one to do this, but would like to find out.  I am going to be detailing my journey this year as I have gotten out of shape and I’m trying to find myself again as a runner and using my dad as inspiration.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
